i think this is perfect for a child who wants a dirt bike but parent think they are not ready. your child will love it. its not for 5 yr olds. thats why there are age recommendations. also you have to follow the charging instructions or else you will ruin the battery and you will be buying new ones very soon. they will wear out quickly. you people have to understand your battery issues are human error not product defect.

This bike is fun 4 the beginner personally i like something with a little zip to it which this bike doesn't have a lot of but it only takes like 1 to 2 hours to charge dont belive that bs u read in the manual.
i do have to say it got me off the computer and ps3 though so yea i like this bike

This bike looks good until you take out the box and your missing 3 parts. We finally got the parts but when we took it out for a spin the handlebars poped off! My son went sailing across the street and right into a tree. Fearless, as he was we got yet another bike which ended in a even worse unfortunate event. So, my son tried to go off of a jump....uh-oh. I pushed, hard, to get speed and as he hit the jump a wheel fell off, and thats not the end of it, as he lifted in the air the other wheel off along with the handle bars. He smahed into the ground breaking his arm leg and nose. THIS PRODUCT ABSOLUTLEY SUCKS!!!!

Purchased for my son's birthday and the battery completely died within a couple of months. Called Razor customer service and they will not replace -- I have to spend about [$] for a new one now!

Purchased at local store Dec 16 2007 . assembled Dec 20 and followed directions.batteries would not hold a charge , contacted Razor for help so Santa didnt look bad . told me to try charging again. by now Dec 23 Razor customer service not around on weekends. so continued to Charge unit. Christmas Day Unit ran for 12 feet and stopped . [...]I'm very disappointed with DicksSporting goods To even Sell A Product, and not back there products they sell or there Customers. So try and call Razor 1- 800# awlays buzy. and two weeks later still No good

I purchased this Bike from [...]in December last year ( Michigan ). I gave to my son for Christmas and the Warranty expire's before the Snow melts and he could ride it in the Spring.The Battery was junk and failed soon after and neither [...] or the Razor company will stand behind their product. It is a shame because my son loved it for the month or so that it worked. For the Money, it is a waste to buy a Razor that works for 2 months and then you get to buy all new parts because they will not honor their product. Save your Money

This thing rocks. It's so fast and easy to put together it only took like 2 hours to charge and the seat has a huge pad. The only thing I don't like is the highest weight is 140 pounds.
